A lovely way to spend an hour on these dark winter evenings. It's such a feel good choir and you don't need to be a great singer to join. It's very relaxed and friendly, with a great singing coach who offers lots of enthusiasm and encouragement.

Choir, for me, started in a room of strangers but is now in a room of friends who enjoy music and singing.

A great idea by Sam to introduce a community contemporary choir to the village. As much as I enjoy singing, I am certainly not a good singer by any stretch of the imagination; but this choir is not about having perfect pitch or singing classical arias - it's about meeting new people, learning/developing a new skill and, more importantly - have fun, in a relaxed environment, with a good teacher.

It's total escapism. It's my one luxury a week that takes me away from all my responsibilities and allows me to let my hair down. And surrounded by wonderful, friendly, welcoming people who have helped build my confidence and been a delight to spend time with.

The confidence it gives me. I have pretty bad social anxiety but when I'm singing, everything is good. There's also an amazing sense if teamwork and achievement when a song comes together - like Rise Up

Choir never ever fails to make me happy and has helped me so much through a very tough year. I love singing, and being able to do this with a group of such lovely people is a joy.
And Sam is just amazing!
Loved my first concert, can't wait for 2023!

Singing makes me feel really happy and takes all my worries away. Also being other people enjoying singing as much as me is just brilliant .Joining choir is the best thing I’ve done!

It’s fun, everyone in our choir is lovely and it’s great learning a new skill but no matter how stressful my week is or how tired I’m feeling, I know I will get a great boost from going to choir and singing my heart out. It definitely releases the feel good hormones! (And I like it a lot better than running )

It’s the highlight of the week. I arrive feeling frazzled and stressed from work, and leave with a smile and a spring in my step. It’s just good to sing!
